Mustapha Guedira Foundation
A Moroccan family foundation established in tribute to the memory of Fqih Mustapha Guedira (1917–1997), taking his life as a starting point to bring attention to his fields of interest — the sciences, fiqh, Sufism, the arts, Moroccan-Andalusian culture, and the history of Rabat. In honor of the Guedira family, descendants of a distinguished Andalusian house that contributed to the rise of this city, the Foundation works to preserve its cultural and scholarly heritage and pass it on to future generations.
A memory, a legacy
The Mustapha Guedira Foundation was established in tribute to the memory of Fqih Mustapha Guedira, a judge who devoted his life to the judiciary and to serving his city and his country. The Foundation draws its mission from the legacy of a distinguished Andalusian family settled in Rabat, which produced, across generations, men and women who distinguished themselves in scholarship, the judiciary, the resistance, Sufism, the arts, and medicine. Today, the Foundation works to gather, document, and preserve this legacy, and to make it accessible to researchers and to rising generations.
